Aid Cam Buell's Stroke Recovery Journey

Donation protected
Camden (Cam) Buell is a devoted husband of 21 years, a father to two boys (ages 12 and 16), and a friend who has dedicated his life to serving others. After graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2001, Cam served as an Air Force pilot for 20 years, completing four deployments during his active duty. He is now an Alaska Airlines pilot. A true lover of the outdoors, Cam continually seeks new adventures, whether it’s hiking, fishing, or mountain climbing.

On July 29, 2024, Cam's life took an unexpected and devastating turn when he suffered a stroke, leaving him paralyzed on the left side of his body. Cam spent 2 weeks in the hospital undergoing many tests and surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain, and now is working hard daily in an inpatient rehabilitation facility to gain back function of his left side. The family looks forward to Cam being able to return home. Cam’s condition comes with many unknowns, leaving his family uncertain about what the future holds.

Cam's wife, Julia, also an Air Force veteran and now an Air Force Reserves officer and middle school English teacher, has put her teaching career on hold to support his rehabilitation. With so much uncertainty, they are facing a challenging road ahead. The full extent of Cam's recovery is unknown—whether he will regain feeling on his left side, and how much care and support he will need in the coming months and years.

We are raising funds to help Cam and his family navigate this overwhelming situation. Your generous contributions will go directly towards covering medical bills, intensive rehabilitation costs for the next year, and possibly modifications to their home to make it accessible for Cam's needs.

Cam has given so much to his country and his community. Now we hope to give a fraction of what he’s given back to him. Any amount you can give will make a tremendous difference in his recovery journey and will ease the financial burden on his family during this uncertain time.

Thank you in advance for your kindness, support, and prayers.
