Aid Carol Harris' Journey to Recovery

Carol Harris, our favorite behaviorist, trainer, and co-owner of The Educated Pet, was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia on December 9, 2024. She’s been in the hospital since for treatment, which is not easy. Her husband, Mike, has been taking care of the business, two busy dogs, and the rest of life. It’s been very hard for their family.

Carol is an Applied Behaviorist, and The Educated Pet is a BBB Torch Award winner for Ethics. The Educated Pet has also been voted Best Dog Trainer in San Diego Magazine. Carol has helped thousands of dogs (and cats!) and their people have more successful relationships. Her training style is dynamic and fun.

With Carol hospitalized, Mike has run their business single handedly. He splits his time between work, managing their dogs and household, and helping Carol navigate our healthcare system. When Carol has completed the first round of Chemotherapy, there will additional outpatient treatments. All of these factors contribute to a decreased income.
