Aid Cattywampus: From Tragedy to Healing

I am a disabled veteran of OIF, but this isn't about me; it's about my son's best friend, Cattywampus. So, I rescued/adopted Cattywampus in 2021 from the Humane Society, where they saved him from a mass shooting of cats. He was one of 15+ cats that were shot and left for dead. Someone found the mass death of cats, but the great news was some didn't die, and they rushed the cats to the veterinarian, where they saved Cattywampus and many more. Cattywampus lost one of his legs. He has been my son's best friend since he was born 2 years ago. My son loves to chase and then cuddle with his best friend and mine.

As of Saturday, the 11th of Jan, I had to take Cattywampus to the veterinarian, where they informed me that he had a blockage and if he didn't get surgery, he would not make it. As I know it's my son's best friend, I said do the surgery even though we don't have the funds to pay for the medical bills. He was meant to come home Monday, the 13th, but he had blood work and showed high levels in his kidneys. Today, Tuesday, they pulled the catheter, and his levels all came back to normal, but he wasn't able to use the bathroom, so they have put him back under and reinserted the catheter.

As of right now, as I write this asking for help from anyone, it's Tuesday, the 14th.
