Aid Cheese's Recovery for an Autistic Teen
Donation protected
Cheese is a 9-month-old Silken Windhound. He is my autistic teenager’s service dog in training. He has been so good for her, not just assisting with tasks, but the everyday care has given her a lot of pride and knowledge.
He recently decided to parkour off the bed and managed to land just right. He broke both bones in his front leg at what would be his wrist. My teenager is devastated. Due to his breed, the vet and our mentor have recommended having an orthopedic surgeon surgically fix the leg with plates and screws. As a hardworking single mom, this is not an amount that I have sitting around in savings. It is very important to my kid that her service dog gets all the medical care he needs so he can continue to help her with tasks that help her function better in society.
