Aid Cory in Repairing her Beloved Home

Cory Lockhart has spent her life's work striving for a more just and humane world. Across the globe, many of us have been touched and expanded not only by her beautiful, dedicated work, but by her profoundly compassionate, generous presence.

Recently, her home has incurred a need for major repairs, most of which are not covered by insurance:

1. Last week, Cory's water heater spontaneously broke, flooding her home and destroying her kitchen flooring. She now must replace her water heater and floors.

2. Her home's crawl space is now flooding as well, an issue that needs to be resolved by installing a sump pump.

3. She has been told her electrical box needs to be replaced both for safety reasons and in order to install these new amenities.

Costs for these repairs and replacements are accumulating quickly, and it's a vital time for Cory's community to invest in her well-being.

Cory has served as a peacemaker overseas and at the US-Mexico border, standing at military check points to protect the most vulnerable people, amid armed soldiers and under threats of violence. She has worked at Standing Rock in one of the kitchens and served in myriad ways throughout the Louisville community. She has dedicated years to deep study of Nonviolent Communication and has used that learning to teach classes, facilitate groups, and accompany individuals and communities through profound transformation. Cory is someone who has offered extensive mutual aid in our community out of the spotlight, always seeking to offer her gifts to aid common liberation. She has steadfastly striven to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly on this planet.
