Aid Felicia's Family: From Crisis to Stability

Hello, my name is Misty, and I am creating this GoFundMe account on behalf of Felicia. I met Felicia in 2017 (that's her with my son); she was his daycare teacher. You guys, she made the transition for me to return to work so wonderful. Just look at how happy my son is in her arms - this was maybe week 2 or 3 of him being in childcare.

While my son was in her care, she was in the process of adopting 4 siblings - which she did later that year. Things were great until the pandemic hit, and the last 4 years have been a myriad of devastations. In 2020, her youngest son got COVID, and while hospitalized, they diagnosed him with Lupus. The hospital stays over the last 4 years have been abundant, and his medications are costly. On top of that, the daycare she worked for closed, and although she is employed currently, it is not near the pay that her previous job was.

The biggest crisis came when her apartment building burned down - the tenant above her left a candle on. They lost everything and haven't had the opportunity to truly get back on their feet since then. Three of her children are teenagers now. Her oldest daughter is incredibly bright and excelling in school, but with that achievement come costs that Felicia isn't always able to provide. They lack furniture and a lot of basic necessities. Most of Felicia's earnings go to medication for her youngest, food, rent, and electricity. There is no room for comfort.

I'm asking that you give what you can to help make someone's life a little better. She deserves the help, and her kids certainly do - they've gone through a lot as a family unit, and any little bit helps make their lives a bit less stressful. Thank you.
