Aid for Ashley's Fight: Stage 4 Cancer
Donation protected
This account is for my friend Ashley Lapreze, a single mom of 2 beautiful boys, 13 & 10. She was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer in 2023. She had to endure 16 rounds of intense chemo and lots of treatments after that. Ashley was able to return to work in April of 2024, but just very part-time and was looking forward to getting back to some normalcy and finding her new normal again.
Unfortunately, she was still in a ton of pain in her breasts and repeatedly asked the doctors if this was normal and what she could do to relieve this pain. They overlooked her pain several times, and the pain just kept progressing. This got to the point where she couldn't even sleep laying down, couldn't get back to a full work schedule, and was barely getting by. Being the strong woman she is, she pushed through every day just hoping for the best and keeping her faith. She soon found herself taking ibuprofen throughout the whole day just to make it through her short work shift and to provide for her kids and support them in their lives and daily activities. Ashley knew something wasn't right and sought a second opinion. Immediately, this doctor was alarmed and said she had never seen anything like this and wanted a second opinion from her colleague.
After a biopsy and running some scans, they found that it was cancer and has progressed to stage 4 and has spread throughout her body into her lungs and liver. She is awaiting to start chemo but has had nothing but obstacles thrown her way along this process. Ashley needs help from us to help her pay her rent and support herself and her 2 boys. She has used up all her resources with the state and doesn't qualify for FMLA this time since she was barely back at work and in so much pain she could only work a couple of hours at a time.
Anything will help and we appreciate every donation big and small.
We are praying for a miracle and do believe in them, so if you pray, please say one for Ashley Lapreze.
Thank you for taking the time to read this story about my dear friend Ashley.
