Aid for CeCe: WWII Veteran's Loyal Companion

I am currently caring for a 96-year-old World War II veteran. He is legally blind,

His faithful companion of 10 years, is CeCe,

She is a Shih Tzu, and is rapidly losing her eyesight as well. She is very healthy, and can look forward to living a long and happy life.

Her cataracts are causing her to lose her eyesight, and she can only see shadows,

CeCe has been evaluated by an eye care specialist. They have confirmed that the necessary surgery will restore her eyesight. Without surgery, she is at high risk of going blind. It will be impossible for her owner to care for her if they are both blind.

This veteran has served our country in two branches of the military. He has also served as a Chief on the police force, and was a volunteer fireman in New York.
