Please help the children and family of Damien Keith Scott Allen of Richmond Indiana.
My husband Damien Allen was recently at a party and overdosed. Everyone at the party chose to leave him for dead instead of calling 911. We have no idea how long he was laying there alone before he was found and paramedics arrived. Once the paramedics were on-site and began CPR, because Damien was not breathing, it was 50 minutes until his heart was beating steadily. They then took him to the hospital in Richmond, Indiana where he flatlined again upon arrival. Again, they performed CPR and this time it took 20 minutes before his heart beat again. That's 70 minutes without oxygen to his brain that we know of.

Almost immediately after arriving at Richmond hospital, he was transported to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio to the Neuro Intensive Care Unit and trauma center. Once there, he was declared completely brain dead and deceased but remained on life support for organ donation. His own choice. Five days after he overdosed, his organs were removed and his family and I said our goodbyes. His heart and liver were matched and are being transplanted to two people.

Damien did not have life or health insurance. Although he was my husband, we were not together. I cannot afford to pay for his funeral service, cremation, and medical bills. I desperately want to be able to make something happen in order to pay for his funeral and cremation at least. For the sake of his children. Damien has a son and two daughters he has left behind. Both of his parents are deceased as well as a brother. He has three sisters and a few other family members left but none are in a position to pay for the funeral and cremation.
