Aid for house fire that took everything

Today was a tragic day for my family. While my mother was cooking dinner, she saw a fire on our porch. She frantically screamed for my stepdad, Eric Littlejohn. Things escalated very rapidly. As he tried to put it out, my mom, Dawnyale Littlejohn, grabbed her two boys. These two boys are 3 and 4 years old. Isaac and Kingston lost everything. They lost their beds, clothes, shoes, backpacks, toys, and most of all, their safe place. While the fire started to grow bigger and bigger, my stepdad was unable to get out. Explosions from all areas of the home started going off. The only way out of the burning home was through the door where the fire started. He had to open the glass door, which exploded in his face, and run through the fire in order to get out alive. He was soon life-flighted to the hospital. My mom and her two young boys have no transportation or clothes but the clothes on their backs.

As my stepdad is in the hospital, we do not know his full condition. He is heavily burned. He is still getting the care he needs to recover, and updates will be posted! As of right now he just got to UTMB Galveston , after being life flighted.

Sadly, it does not stop there. My beloved dog, Max, was killed. Max ran and hid underneath my mom’s bed looking for shelter. He was so shocked and scared to face the flames that ultimately burned him to death. Not only did we lost my baby, my stepdad as lost his as he fought to get out of the house. His dog was so badly burned we had to surrender him.

We ask that as a community, we can work together to raise a bit of money to get my loved ones back on their feet. We are in dire need of clothes, housing, food, water, a warm place to stay, and most of all, support!
