Aid for Elijah's Medical and Family Needs
Donation protected
This is Elijah Pyrkos, born January 13, 2025, weighing 5 lbs 15 oz. He was due Feb. 8th, but he had other plans. He was born at 36 weeks and has hydrocephalus and is missing a part of his brain called the corpus callosum. It’s a part of his brain that helps with motor skills and memory.
He's only a few days old, was intubated, and has an IV and feeding tube. He’s in the NICU at Oishei Children’s Hospital, constantly being monitored and tested. Soon he’ll be having brain surgery; he’ll have a shunt put in to drain the fluid that is in his brain.
Mom is currently healing from her emergency C-section and pumping for her baby boy. They don’t have funds to support them in this time as insurance only covers a few days post C-section. We would deeply appreciate some help even if it’s not much, but every little bit helps. It would pay for the expenses of gas and food for Elijah’s parents. We’re not sure how long we’re gonna have to stay up in Buffalo, and it’s looking to be more than a couple of weeks.
Anything will help. If you can’t donate, then sharing and praying is also deeply appreciated. Thank you.
