1/18/2024 - Gary Morgan Thomas was called home to heaven. He fought long and hard and God displayed miracles thru him to our family and his nurses but ultimately Jesus wanted him to come home. Please keep his son, his daughter, his mother and the rest of the Thomas family in your prayers during the coming days. Services will be announced in the days to come.

Update: God is soo good! Not only is Gary off life support but he is also out of ICU. He still has a long ways to go but God has already been soo good to him. He had 1.5 liters of fluid removed from his lungs 2 days ago and it has helped with his oxygen levels, however his heart is still in poor condition and his liver numbers are low. We are uncertain as to how long he will be in the hospital but your donations are being held onto for any medical expenses he may require once he’s sent home as he doesn’t have any medical insurance. Please continue to pray for a complete healing. We appreciate you all.

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

We are reaching out in a time of need to ask for your support for our beloved son, father, brother, and uncle, who is currently on life support. Gary has been battling heart disease for years. Just recently, he found his heart was only functioning at 18%, which caused other extreme symptoms: “dead leg” – his heart wasn’t pumping enough blood and oxygen to his extremities, causing his legs to turn a purple-ish black. His liver began to fail, and now his kidneys. Despite the best efforts of doctors and medical staff, his condition took a serious turn, and he was on life support. At this point, we are trying to navigate the difficult process of preparing for what may come next.

As we face the heart-wrenching reality of this situation, and are reminded that he was not financially prepared for such events, we are asking for financial assistance to help cover medical expenses that continue to accumulate while he is in the hospital. In addition to his medical bills, we are also preparing for the need of funds for funeral arrangements, as we want to honor my Uncle Gary’s memory in the best way possible.

Any contribution, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated and would help ease the burden on our family during this incredibly difficult time. We also ask that you keep Gary’s mom, June Wooten, and his children, Michelle & James, in your thoughts and prayers as they face a decision that will not be an easy one during this uncertain journey.
