After a *still* unknown infection in my lungs that led to acute respiratory failure, I am asking for assistance to feed the farm crew and even help with life expenses and bills. Being left grounded at home and unable to work has put a strain on savings and extra money not only for myself but those around me trying to help with all of it as well. Being self employed has its down falls and this is one of them. Despite the hopefulness of picking back up with work soon, there's still a huge risk of traveling to do so while I'm still recovering and remaining on oxygen while my lungs try to heal! And then the ongoing appointments and unknown, leave me unsure of the ability to continue to make the attempt to schedule more work for the next couple of months! Meanwhile, my Sanctuary animals and myself need a little help! Hay and even milk formula have to continue with or without my paychecks. I was not raised to ask for money and help. So this is hard for me to even fathom getting that assistance from others. You work for what you want.... but I've also struggled knowing that I need to be "dormant" while my lungs heal and I try to get better! I'm 41 years old and relatively healthy! I don't smoke, drink or do drugs! And even prior to the hospital, I don't take prescription medication or over the counter meds. This health set back is an entire new concept to me and I'm having to rely on others to take care of the goats and sheep and horses and donkey and its a huge mental, financial and physical struggle on myself, my family and the animals!
