Aid for Immigrant Neighbour

Hi, my name is Sameeya and I'm fundraising on behalf of someone dear to me.

This individual needs help with overdue bills, due to several setbacks that have been especially difficult to navigate as someone in the process of trying to seek asylum due to their sexuality.

They've had to pay out of pocket for 3 emergency hospital visits due to reproductive damage, have been waiting months to be paid for a freelance job, and have recently had to leave their place of employment due to aggressive racism (and securing a job as someone trying to seek asylum is incredibly challenging).

The system has consistently failed so many folks, this is not news -- We are now turning toward community in an effort to keep their head above water.
