Aid for Juan's Recovery Journey
Donation protected
This is my best friend’s husband, Juan.
In December 2024, Juan was found unresponsive at home with his youngest child by his side. He was rushed to the hospital, and after running multiple tests, the doctors discovered he had sepsis. Confused by his sudden memory loss and physical decline, his wife decided to take him to Houston, TX, in search of more answers. The doctors there confirmed that Juan was suffering from both encephalitis and sepsis.
He stayed in the hospital for three weeks, fighting for his life. Since then, he hasn’t been able to return to work. Recently, they learned that the infection has spread to the right side of his brain. The road to recovery is long and uncertain. Doctors say it could be another 3 to 6 months before he’s even able to return to work—if he’s able to at all.
To make matters worse, Juan has lost his insurance coverage, leaving the Cardenas family in an even more difficult situation.
If you can, please consider donating to help support Juan and his family during this incredibly hard time. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly toward his ongoing treatments and medical bills.
The Cardenas family has always been there for others, offering kindness, love, and support when people needed it most. Now it's time for all of us to stand by them and help them through this unimaginable struggle.
Your generosity will mean the world to them. Please help spread the word and keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much for your support.
