Aid for Katherine Nelson's Unexpected Loss

Donation protected
Our dear friend Katie lost her husband Scott, unexpectedly on Friday. Let’s get behind our friend and help her during this time to cover all these unexpected expences.

Scott Michael Nelson, 39, of Summerville, SC, passed away on Friday, December 13th, 2024.

Scott was the son of Allen Nelson and Debra Ribbe Nelson. He was born in Pompton Plains, NJ, grew up in Mahwah, NJ, married in New York and later moved to Summerville. He had a lifelong career in HVAC. Scott married the love of his life, Katherine Noel Nelson, and they spent 13 years together! Scott had many enjoyments in life including golfing, watching his NY Giants play football, grilling out for his family and even scuba diving at times. During high school, he was a county champ on his wrestling team, played on the football team and also swam on the swim team. Scott volunteered some of his time to the Fire Department as a Jr. Fireman while growing up in New Jersey. He was an avid outdoorsman, taking hunting and fishing trips every chance he had. His family was his pride and joy and being a wonderful husband and father was his main priority. He was a much beloved husband, father, son and friend who will be greatly missed.

Scott is survived by his wife, Katherine Nelson; his daughters: Victoria Rodriguez and Peyton Nelson; his parents: Allen and Debra Nelson; his sister, Christy Knott (Robert); as well as his soon to be niece or nephew, Baby K. He was preceded in death by his loving Nanny, Eleanor Jones, grandfather, Robert Nelson and his uncle, Alan Ribbe, Jr.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024, from 2pm to 4pm at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 South Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483.
