Help Kayla and Her Family Rebuild After Devastating Fire.
On the afternoon of 12/25/2024, my daughter Kayla and her young children, Estella (5), Jeremy (4), Everett (2), and baby Jasper (1 month), experienced an unimaginable tragedy. They lost their family home to a devastating fire, one that Kayla’s father, Judd, built many years ago for his children. After Judd’s passing four years ago, Kayla and her brother inherited the house, which held a lifetime of memories for her family.
Miraculously, Kayla and her children woke up just in time to escape the flames. They made it out of the house safely, along with their two dogs, but unfortunately, the home and everything inside were lost in the fire.
Jeremy, the father of the children, was home at the time but was outside in the pole barn. He is devastated by the loss of the family home, as it held deep significance for all of them.
We are incredibly grateful that everyone, including the dogs, are safe. This is truly a miracle considering the circumstances.
The Road to Recovery.
While Kayla, Jeremy, their children, and the dogs are physically safe, they are now facing the immense emotional and financial challenge of rebuilding their lives from scratch, which is an overwhelming financial burden.
In the immediate term, Kayla, Jeremy, and their children are displaced, staying with Dennis and I, along with my grandparents, as we work together to support them through this difficult time. They will need help with everything from temporary housing to clothing, food, and replacing essential household items.
How You Can Help.
We are starting this GoFundMe to help Kayla, Jeremy, and their children cover immediate expenses, such as:
⚫️ Temporary housing for Kayla, Jeremy, and the children.
⚫️ Clothing, shoes, and everyday essentials
Food and groceries.
⚫️ Replacing furniture and basic household items.
⚫️ The goal for this campaign is $35,000 to provide emergency support while Kayla, Jeremy, and the children begin the long journey of rebuilding their home and their lives.
While the full cost of rebuilding the home is more than what they can afford, this campaign will help cover the immediate needs as we work toward more long-term recovery efforts. We will continue to seek other avenues of support, including insurance claims, grants, and community help, but this money will be a lifeline for Kayla and her family in their time of greatest need.
Transparency and Fund Management.
To ensure the funds are used appropriately and directly benefit Kayla and her family, all donations will be carefully managed by Dennis and I. We are committed to monitoring and handling the funds to guarantee they are used for immediate needs such as housing, clothing, food, and essential living expenses. We want to assure you that the funds will be directed appropriately and responsibly.
Thank You for Your Support.
We are beyond grateful for the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, and the community during this devastating time. We know that the road ahead will be long, but with your help, Kayla, Jeremy, and their children will be able to take the first steps toward healing and rebuilding their lives.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful impact. If you cannot donate, please share this campaign with your network to help spread the word. Your kindness and generosity are deeply appreciated.
Thank you for standing by Kayla, Jeremy, and their children during this incredibly difficult time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
