Support Kylah and Her Displaced Family

Hi everyone, my name is Kylah Williams and many of you may know me as ThatBilingualChick.

I live in Altadena, CA (91001) and have been displaced due to the Eaton Canyon wildfire in Altadena that has burned the majority of my community to ashes - we are truly devastated.

For many of us here in Altadena, it’s more than just our homes. It’s a neighborhood of historically Black and other POC who have had these homes passed down through generations (in my case, homes with centuries of history).

Driving back around my community to check in on the status of my family homes, hoping and praying that they’re still standing, only to break out in tears witnessing that some are no longer there is an unimaginable feeling.

It is truly devastating seeing my community be burned to ashes when we all know how much these homes mean to us and the community that was built around them.

I am grieving the loss of my family homes and all the memories made between their walls.

Many have asked how they can support so I have created this in case you want to contribute to help with temporary housing, toiletries, clothes, and other emergency needs.
