Aid for Lisa & Family After Augie's Loss
Donation protected
My neighbor Augustin Chavez, Also known as Augie recently passed away. His widow, Lisa and their family are devistated with the loss as they are still recovering from Lisa's battle with cancer a few years ago.
I am asking for financial donations to help cover the funeral expenses as well as the medical expenses for both Augie and Lisa.
Augustine proudly served his country as a sharpshooter in the United
States Army. He enlisted in November 1977 and was honorably
discharged in August 1983, demonstrating unwavering dedication and
precision throughout his service.
His career was marked by dedication and skill. From 2003 to 2018,
Augustine served as the locksmith for the Merced Union High School
District, retiring in July 2018 after years of ensuring the safety and security
of schools in his community. Prior to that, he was self-employed, providing
maintenance and security services.
Augustine was a man of many passions. His hobbies included working
with computers, CB radios, gardening, building projects, and enjoying
music, especially Elvis Presley. His co-workers fondly nicknamed him
"Elvis" because of his iconic haircut and sideburns, a look that made him
truly unforgettable.
Augustine was preceded in death by his parents, Ramona Suvilla
Guereque Chavez from Chihuahua, Mexico, and Jesus Corrales Chavez
from Oaxaca, Mexico, as well as his brothers, Ines Chavez, Rodolfo
Chavez, Antonio Chavez, and Luis Chavez.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Chavez of Merced, CA; his son, Alexander
Chavez of Hayward, CA; his daughter, Angelica Sanchez (née Chavez),
and son-in-law, Leonel Sanchez of Vallejo, CA; his brother, Juan Chavez of
