Support Euphemia Haye Staff

Since 1975, Euphemia Haye Restaurant has been an important gathering place for our community - a place where we have celebrated countless birthdays, anniversaries, special dates, and guests from around the world seeking our unique food and ambience. 

We should be celebrating a wonderful 50 year history! Instead, our restaurant is closing suddenly and we are putting together a GoFundMe to help our staff of 35 people stay on their feet while looking for new jobs (as season ends and restaurants all over are cutting back on staff and hours).

We didn't want it to come to this. We certainly don't want to kick up any dirt. But a few of you have reached out to us individually and asked how you could help. We so appreciate the offers! They mean the world to us - as do you! We have been waiting on some of you and your families for 20 or 30 years. We know your kids and grandkids. We love seeing you come back every season - maybe with a few more gray hairs - on all of us.

We are heartbroken. We love the restaurant. We love our coworkers. We love our customers and friends. We love what we do! 

So while we face the reality of this uncertain time, the staff that has been caring for, serving, hosting, cooking for, and serving you is asking for your help. We appreciate anything you can give, and we will not forget your generosity wherever we end up. A few of us are putting this together and we will make sure to split any funds raised, evenly, with all staff members. 

While we survived countless impacts to the industry over the years, it is a shame that we have come to this. This is our livelihood and we all work to keep a roof over our heads. We've worked at Euphemia Haye for decades. A few of us have never worked anywhere else. You don't see that sort of loyalty anymore. If you are a restaurant owner or manager - we would love to talk!
