SHINE NEEDS HELP: Lost home and wife to fire after Christmas

Tragedy struck Robert Davis, 'Shine' of Rusk County, the night after Christmas when his home caught fire in the middle of the night. Robert and his wife, Diane, were the only ones in the house but were in separate rooms when it all happened. As firefighters arrived, they were able to get to Robert, but Diane sadly perished in the flames. Davis is known best around town for his kind heart and infectious personality. He loves shining shoes and being a part of the Henderson community.

Robert and his daughter Mae are in the process of setting up a memorial for Diane and trying to find him a new place to live. If you'd like to donate to help them, it's not only greatly appreciated but would ensure that Robert has a chance to remain a part of the East Texas community that he calls family.
