HELP US REPAIR and STAY in our HOME

UPDATE: Our application for the rental we wanted has been denied. GOD has this! Perhaps He wants us to remain in OUR HOME that I BOUGHT almost 10 years ago. Just need the find the funds to replace the sewer line and stabilize (and lift) our foundation. We need GOD to SHOW UP and SHOW OFF to SAVE our HOME and get things repaired. My foundation has a 6 inch slope (back of house) and my sewer line is cracked. To only stabilize the foundation in the back of the house is at least $11,000. To LIFT and LEVEL the foundations is $30,000. The Tunnel repair of the sewer line is $20,000. Please support our fundraiser and HELP US SAVE and STAY in OUR HOME.

We are the Rodriguez family. My name is Michelle and in 2017, God called me to foster, then adopt a sibling group of 5 young kiddos from a traumatic background through child protective services. Even though I am an older single mom, I said YES to these brothers and sisters. This home has been a safe, stable refuge for them to heal and grow. They have strong relationships with our neighbors and the community.

Fast forward to last month. My sewer line that runs under my concrete slab is broken. We had raw sewage, water, dirt, and silt back up in my bathroom, washer, and sinks. It was determined that I need a tunnel repair to the my sewer line that goes out to the main line on the street. We are not able to use any plumbing drains—toilets, showers, sinks, clothes washer, etc. Thankfully, the upstairs kids’ bathroom is on a separate line and we can use that. The estimate for this repair is $16,000-$20,000.

In addition, my house sits on a 6ft concrete slab on a hill. My foundation now has multiple cracks running down and diagonally across my foundation. A recent evaluation of my home has determined that my home has a slope/incline of 6 inches from the front to the back. Cracks in interior walls and the driveway/walkway have pulled away from the house. Foundation is another HUGE repair. I already talked with insurance and they do not cover this. Water damage yes, repairs to these issues NO. I’m a senior, retired teacher, single mom and have no savings, resources available, or a credit score high enough for a home equity loan. Only my God. This is a God-sized need and situation that only He can solve.

Our need and ask is to help us reach our goal of repairing our house and keeping us together in this HOME we’ve made over the last 8 years.
