Aid For Schools
Donation protected
Hello, I’m Noor Haddad, my friends and I, Symone Adams and Nicole Haddad, started a club at our high school called Aid For Schools. The purpose of this club is to raise money to donate books, school supplies, and other curriculum to low-income schools and underprivileged children. A question people often asked me as a child was what I wanted to be when I grew up. My friends and I grew up very fortunate, so this question was really easy for us. This was because as soon as we were old enough to walk, we were told we could be anything we wanted to be. So for the next ten years all of our dreams from wanting to be princesses, and astronauts, to doctors, and lawyers, were fueled with access to hundreds of books, tutors, and a good education. However, as we grew up, we realized not all kids grow up like this. Not all children were privileged to have a library in their own classroom or to go back-to-school shopping at Target every year. Therefore, with these funds, we hope to visit these schools and supply them with the necessary resources (school supplies, books, etc.) to help these children realize they could be anything they want too.
This is the prime reason why this club is important. Every child deserves the right to choose whatever and whoever they want to be in the future, and AFS hopes to bring this message to every child book by book.
