Aid for our Dad's Funeral & the Arunski Family
Donation protected
Hello all,
My name is Adam Arunski and this is the worst news I ever had to write... My father, Theodore (Ted) Arunski, has passed away this past Christmas week; unforeseen and unfortunate to us left behind. My big brother and I are finding this all very difficult to process; we lost our childhood hero. However, we are also trying to be strong like he was and be there for the rest of our family to get us thru the troubling times ahead.
Along with the heavy burden we are already suffering, a lot of expenses are adding up quickly. In my purest humility, I am seeking relief for funeral expenses, travel fares, and more that have put us in need of support to keep afloat while working paycheck to paycheck.
I will always be grateful for my fathers kindness, hard work ethic, and willingness to help others beyond himself when he could. I've always taken these attributes to heart. I will continue his legacy of good morals with me. I'm going to miss him. We are going to miss him. We love you, Dad.
THANK YOU ALL
Below is the elegant obituary my brother was strong enough to write in such short notice:
Theodore (Ted) John Arunski III (70)
The world lost a wonderful man when Theodore (Ted) John Arunski III, age 70, died unexpectedly on Thursday December 26th, 2024 at his home in Mesa Arizona.
*
Born in Canton, Ohio to Ted Arunski Jr. and Eleanor (Tartaglio) Arunski on October 31st, 1954, Ted was a pioneer in the swimming pool industry for over 40 years. Most importantly of all, he was a great friend, devoted father and family man. He will be dearly missed.
Following his graduation from Lincoln High School in 1972, he became the ultimate handyman, owning and operating numerous construction companies in the 70’s and 80’s. Although he was a student of both Kent State and ASU, his entrepreneur spirit lead him into the world of business.
*
After becoming a contractor and installing his first swimming pool in 1980, his passion for pools was born and stayed with him until the end. He remained a resident of Canton until 1995 when he fulfilled a lifelong dream and moved his family to Mesa, Arizona.
*
Ted is survived by his former wife of 42 years Kim Arunski, his two sons and stepdaughter Teddy (Abby) Arunski, Adam (Britney) Arunski, Britt Contini-Lily (Dave); his two sisters and brother Diane (Jim) Ergon, Tina (Jack) Hodel, Mark (Alicia) Arunski; his nieces and nephews
Nicole Orfandis, Nick Ergon, Sarah Hodel, Stacy (Cliff) Johnson, Stefanie (Dustin) Rante, Samantha (Chris) Randall, Anthony (Alexis) Arunski, as well as numerous beloved cousins and family members.
*
Ted shared the best of times with his lifelong friends Brian (Mel) & Sue Bour, Sam Kelly, Jack Lash, Cullen McFarren, Mark Luther, Chris & Jill Halvorsen, Chris Marks, the late Pat Wirres and many, many more…
*
His two sons Teddy & Adam would like the world to remember how wonderful he was as a father, a role model and a teacher. How much he supported his children in every venture and gave them the tools to succeed in life. How he helped so many people beyond his means and how deeply he instilled the romance of travel and living life on your own terms.
*
Remember how much he loved Arizona, disdained authority and stood up for what was right. How much he loved fine dining at restaurants (never letting you pay), living large and how much he loved a good song, a good steak, a good beer, a good game, a good bag of chips and watching the Browns. How in the toughest of times, he could still wear a smile. Remember how he gave us the best childhood imaginable and how much we are going to miss him.
*
Remember how proud we are to call him Dad.
*
Family and friends are invited and encouraged to attend Ted’s celebration of life. There will be two separate services, one in Arizona and one in Ohio.
