Help Us Bring Sean Home: A Family in Need of Support&Prayers

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." — Psalm 46:1
Hello, I’m humbly reaching out for your prayers, support, and any financial assistance you may be able to offer. My heart is heavy as I share this, but I believe in the power of community and kindness.
My Dear friend has been on dialysis for almost 10 years and currently does treatments at home five days a week. Her husband, Sean, has always been by her side — as her nurse, her strength, and her caretaker. He would set up the dialysis machine and make sure everything ran smoothly. They have faced so much together, but nothing prepared for what happened next.
Recently, Kia was hospitalized due to complications in her arm, and during that time, Sean was right there as always. But the very next morning after Kia’s outpatient surgery, things took a turn. Sean began acting strangely. Knowing he had suffered a stroke before, They acted quickly—calling family and getting him to the hospital.
Shockingly, although he walked into the ambulance, by that night, his entire right side had become paralyzed. The hospital initially dismissed there concerns, but after demanding an MRI, They learned the devastating truth: Sean had suffered another stroke. He is now in a rehab facility, undergoing therapy, unable to stand or return home.
Sean and Kia are currently living in temporary housing while they wait for our permanent home to be built.
Unfortunately, this temporary place is not wheelchair accessible, and are not prepared—physically or financially—for what is needed to bring him home. We urgently need a wheelchair accessible home and a ramp for mobility, but the cost of these accommodations, along with ongoing construction updates for their new home, is overwhelming.
Sean is unable to access benefits while the house is being built, and they already sold one of their vehicles. Despite everything, they remain hopeful. Kia has learned to manage dialysis herself—with her mom’s help—but nothing compares to having her husband by her side.
They are asking for:
• Donations toward the construction of a wheel chair accessible home
• Prayers, love, and encouragement during this difficult season
• Any resources or referrals to organizations that may be able to help
If you feel led to help in any way—financially or otherwise—it would mean the world to Kia and Sean . They are simply trying to stay strong and together through it all.
Note from Kia and Sean:
"When love is the foundation, no hardship can break the home we are building only strengthen the walls with faith."
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you .”
With love and gratitude,
Kia & Sean
