Donation protected

Update: 12/17/24
George Moreland passed away last night surrounded by his beloved wife and family. He is no longer in pain. Please continue to uplift the Moreland family in your prayers.

As the process beings to lay this Navy Veteran to rest, please share and/or donate. Any amount is greatly appreciated during this difficult time.

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

I am setting up this GoFundMe for our friends, the Morelands. George is in his final days, and in preparation for his transition, we are asking for help to relieve some of the financial burden during this difficult time. Although his father qualified for VA disability benefits, he always prided himself on working hard and vowed not to take from his country while he was able and willing to make a living for himself.
Here is his story…

We are reaching out for support during one of the most difficult times of our lives, on behalf of George Moreland, a dedicated Navy veteran who served for 8 years during the Vietnam War. George served proudly on ships and submarines and, like many veterans, was exposed to harmful chemicals and conditions that have impacted his health. Over the years, he has faced several major medical challenges, but nothing has been as overwhelming as what he’s facing now. George has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma (GBM), an aggressive and unforgiving form of brain cancer.

George has always been a fighter—whether serving his country or working tirelessly to provide for his loved ones. Now, he and his family face a battle no one can truly prepare for, both emotionally and financially.

Proceeds from this campaign will go directly to Kay Moreland, George’s devoted wife, to help cover:

Mounting medical expenses,
Ongoing living costs for the family, and
funeral expenses, to ensure the family can focus on healing and honoring George’s memory.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will help lift the burden this family is carrying. If you are unable to give, your prayers and sharing this campaign with others are just as meaningful.

Let’s rally together for George and Kay and show them they are not alone during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you for your prayers, kindness, generosity, and support.
