Aid in the search for Gabriel Johnson

Donation protected
My name is Logan McQueary,
my son Gabriel Johnson (known in the media as Baby Gabriel) has been missing since December of 2009.  He was 8 months old when his mom decided to end our relationship and at the same time discard my son by giving him away to an unknown couple.

My current family, and wife Rebecca have spent countless hours, days and nights, along with countless other volunteers across the World,  searching for him.  I have always loved and mourned the loss of Gabriel in my life.  I desperately want him home reunited with his siblings and our family.  Gabriel went missing when his mother took him to San Antonio TX in 2009.

Throughout the past 11 1/2 years, we have trusted that SAPD was working on the numerous leads provided by the public in the search for Gabriel (as their Detectives assured us they would).  Recently we were told by SAPD they didn’t have an active open missing persons investigation for Gabriel.  This news was devastating and felt like re-living Gabriel’s abduction all over again.  Our family now has no knowledge or assurances if anyone followed up on the thousands of leads we received throughout the years; or what, if anything, SAPD even did with any leads they received regarding my son.

Thanks to a thorough investigative media reporter for Fox TV in San Antonio, Yami Virgin, for continuing to report on Gabriel’s story, and keeping attention on his case. As a result, a non-profit organization, Project Absentis, (very successful in finding missing people), heard about Gabriel’s case and offered to help us.  They are reviewing all records, tips and leads (as well as looking into new leads) to see if they can determine what happened to Gabriel and where he might be.  We have leads through the years that may help us find Gabriel!  We also have new leads SAPD wouldn’t even take from us, so we know those desperately need followed up on.

However, the cost of following up on the thousands of leads SAPD ignored will include expenses such as DNA testing on potential matches, surveillance, travel, and other expenses my family does not have the money or collateral to pay for. We respectfully request Tax Deductible Donations for Project Absentis’ expenses, a 501c3 non-profit, to support their expenses. It will take hours and hours to go through files, recordings, phone records, court documents, etc.  There is travel required and many other costs to do this search properly.   We are asking for your help by donating whatever you can.  Once Gabriel is found and back home, any remaining funds will be donated to Project Absentis for future cases.

Let’s bring our loved ones home!  Project Absentis is already working on Gabriel’s case and is tasking more “boots on the ground” to follow up on the more promising leads. All of this incurs expenses and although many pro-bono hours are volunteered, tangible costs must be covered.  All donations are appreciated, we are grateful for any amount regardless of size.
