Aid Jackie Byers' Path to Healing and Home

Jackie Byers suffered a debilitating stroke on her birthday, Friday August 23rd, while on vacation with her brother visiting our dear cousins and sister Karel at her favorite place in the world, Treasure Island, Washington. She was rushed to St. Anthony's Hospital in Gig Harbor where she underwent immediate treatment and remained for three days.

Following this, the beloved teacher, performer, accompanist, friend and philanthropist,

was moved to Seattle's Swedish Acute Rehabilitation Center where she underwent three weeks of rigorous rehabilitation often leaving her exhausted but satisfied she was improving. A keyboard was added to her rehab to stimulate her brain to re-learn the right side's knowledge into the left side.

On September 25th, she moved back to Clovis CA where she will spend another 2-3 weeks in rehabilitation. This fund raiser is to help prepare her home for her living out her life in a peaceful and most loving environment where friends and loved ones can visit and enjoy life's great stories. It is also penned to cover the continued costs of rehabilitation so Jackie can once again play her piano for all of us. Location and date TBD! :)
