Aid Jacqueline and Newborn Soraya in Their Time of Need

James Lyons III, a husband, a son, a father, tragically passed away on 7/3/2024. James leaves behind his wife Jacqueline and his three daughters, including his newborn daughter Soraya. James was a Marine veteran and beloved member of FCI Phoenix. He and his wife just bought a home, had a baby, and were ready to continue their fairy tale.

James was in the USMC from 2011 to 2017. He was a military policeman who also served on the specialized response team as a marksman and an instructor for non-lethal weapons. He joined the prison in 2020, where he met his wife, Jacqueline. Jacqueline described James as “an amazing person” and highlighted his resiliency. In the workplace, he presented as stoic and quiet, but would be the first to run to a body alarm to support his fellow staff. At home, she said he was a “goofball” with his kids and to her, he was a “hopeless romantic.” Besides being a family man, James loved to travel, exercise, hike, and support the Detroit Lions.

James’ sudden death leaves his wife in need of financial assistance to give him the sendoff he deserves in his hometown in Michigan. She needs help caring for the financial needs of her newborn baby and her home.
