Aid James Lott: Veteran and Family Man in Need

This is my father, former Iraqi Army Combat Veteran James Lott, better known to his family as Jamie. James was critically injured by a hit-in-run driver who struck him on Wednesday 10/30/24 in the afternoon while he was picking up lunch on a scooter returning to Upper-Level Barbershop on Dixwell Ave. where he works in New Haven, CT.

My father is a hard-working man who passionately works seven days a week to provide for me and my four siblings. Dad works three labor-intensive jobs one as a landscaper, a barber, and a supervisor at Alltown gas station in Waterbury for those of you who know his kind-hearted service.

This incident has left him bedridden to the point where it is a struggle for him to get up out of bed and use the bathroom without feeling severe pain from the multiple broken ribs, he sustained due to the hit-and-run driver that left him for dead in the middle of the road. My dad also had emergency wrist surgery where they had to reconstruct his left wrist with metal with a minimum healing time of three months non-weight bearing to ensure complete healing. He also sustained a broken foot, multiple lacerations, and bruises.

Any monetary contribution will be greatly appreciated and used righteously. The reason I have created this GoFundMe page for my pops is that he deserves to be taken care of as he once took care of all of us in combat as a soldier and how he takes care of us now as a family man. I know he won't ask for help but as his oldest son I know that I must take charge in getting my father the help I know he deserves. And to the person who left my father for dead in the middle of the street, you deserve to be arrested and put in jail and get the justice that is due!
