Aid Karissa's Road to Recovery

On August 29, 2024 Karissa (27), a Senior Corporal in the Dallas Police Department, was one of the 3 police officers involved in the horrific officer shooting that made national headlines. She spent 5 days in the ICU, and then another 6 days on the trauma floor of a hospital, and then another 7 days in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital and has a long journey ahead.

Please join our family in praying for Karissa’s complete healing and total recovery. The added financial burden is significant and so many of you have asked what you can do to help during this time as Karissa recovers.

Some of the needs include transportation to the hospitals and care facilities for the long term, lodging nearby when necessary, flights for family and friends for the upcoming weeks of care to support Karissa and her family. Additional needs may include pet care, food delivery, household help, etc., modifications to their house and additional therapies.
