Aid Kathy & Vaughn: Vet Bills & Fire Rebuilding
Donation protected
On Monday, August 26th, a devastating fire tore through the home of 1349 E. Main St, Hegins, where Kathy & Vaughn resided leaving them with nothing but the clothing on their backs. Tragically, they did lose one dog along with her puppies and 4 cats, however, their 5 year old dog, Ruger was able to be rescued and is still receiving veterinarian care, due to smoke and water inhalation.
As they face the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from scratch, we’re reaching out for your support.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will help provide immediate relief for Ruger's vet bill, as the bill is currently very high, and support them as they navigate this unimaginable hardship. Your generosity can make a profound difference in their journey towards recovery and stability. Thank you for your compassion and support.
08-28 - Update! Ruger came home! Unfortunately, he is now suffering with pneumonia and the residuals of the smoke inhalation.
The bill at Hershey Animal Emergency Center is paid, however, there is an outstanding balance of over $3,000 on a care credit card that needed to be charged for Ruger to be seen.
