Help Mar Overcome Rent Struggles

'Lo, ev'ryone. My name's Mar Qaroll (he/him) and I'm an aspiring novelist, worldbuilder, and creative.

This fundraiser is so that I can cover my three-month back rent. I live on a fixed income, less than $1000 a month, but I am so grateful for it. However, I had several medical and financial incidents over the past 8 months—hospital stays, an increase in rent, and infections requiring me to buy things over the counter—leaving me with the inability to pay for my rent in full these past three months.

This little bit of additional aid will help me so much. It will allow me to not only cover the $710 that I owe my landlord but essentially "reset" my expenses. Instead of attempting to scrounge around $1180 each month, which has proved impossible, my total expenses including gas, electricity, and internet would only be $645!

These fund monies would go toward my back rent and it alone. It's been a long cycle of "paying what I can" with rent that I don't have money to spend at the start of a month for myself or anything else—such as toiletries. This rent anxiety would be such a weight off my shoulders.

If these funds are raised, I'd like to live again with the remaining $271 I'd have left over after my monthly expenses.
