Help Us Cover After-Death Expenses for Michael O’Donnell Jr

Hey all, my brother Michael O’Donnell (20 years old), was involved in a crash involving a deer on highway 44 in Tampa Florida. Michael and his girlfriend Brooke were on their way back to her dad’s house in Tampa when Michael swerved the vehicle to avoid a deer running across the road. The Suv flipped 3 times and landed upright down a ravine.

Michael was unconscious and in critical condition still inside the vehicle where fire rescue had to pull him out of the car from where he was sitting. Michael was airlifted via helicopter to a Level 1 trauma center Ocala Regional Hospital in Ocala, Florida. Brooke had a broken clavicle and fractured foot along with severe bruising on her face, ear and chest and was extricated by fire rescue out of the vehicle and taken via ambulance to the same hospital. Michael had undergone 6 brain surgeries. His injuries were as follows, multiple and severe brain bleeds, cracked skull, fractured jaw, swollen black and blue bruising on the right side of his face. Michael was in intensive care and was placed on a vent and into a medically induced coma for pain and recovery. Michael passed away on January 3rd, 2025 from his injuries. The Gofund me was originally set up for future recovery but since he passed away donations will be made to help our family move his belongings and work tools from Pennsylvania where he and Brooke lived, back to New York with us.
