Aid Mohammed Family Amidst Gaza Devastation

Who am I?

Hello everyone, my name is Muhammad. I am 20 years old and I live in Gaza with my family. My family includes my father, mother, five brothers, and my sister-in-law. And my nephews and nieces. I am a university student studying multimedia.

My dreams

I have many dreams, including playing football. My best moments were going out with my friends and relatives for an outing to entertain ourselves. But everyone who went out for a walk with me was martyred, including my cousin and my friends. Devastatingly, our dreams did not come true. First, my university was bombed and became rubble. Football fields and places we used to go for walks were also bombed. We also do not know whether the next bomb will reach us or whether my family and I will be the next martyrs. I really need you my friends to help me and my family.

My life before October 7th

My family had a dairy/cattle farm, which, like most of Gaza, is in ruins. I enjoyed seeing my family, my friends, going to school, all of which was halted.

What are the funds for?

 

These funds are intended to alleviate some of our burdens- the cost of living is so high in Gaza Strip now, this money will be used to buy food and necessities for my family. Also, with the destruction of our farm, my older brother Alaa lost his job and has no source of income to support his two young children, my nieces and nephews: Sidra, 2 years old, and Mahmoud, only 5 months old.  

Many of our relatives were martyred: my uncle with his only son, my aunt, and my cousin’s children, one of whom was only 3 years old. They also killed more than 20 of my friends.

My message to you 

We have lost everything. We are now trying to survive in a tent amidst the devastation. I want my home back, I want to play games with my friends, to eat without worrying when my last meal will be. I want to live my life again, I want to walk through the world without fear of becoming a martyr, I want to see the world- travel and love and exist as a Palestine without fear.
