Aid Needed: Legal Fees After Bar Shuts Down

Hi, I am the former owner/operator of This is It! Bar in Milwaukee, WI. As you know the business closed its doors after 56 years of service to the LGBTQ+ community.

I personally gave all of my cash, life-savings, and everything I owned in attempt to keep This is It!'s doors open. I wish i could have done more, but my personal money ran out and now I'm bankrupt.

Of course it costs money to go bankrupt, and there are legal fees and services that I need help paying for winding the business down. I am looking for any help I can get from our community as I navigate these legal waters with very little to my name.

I wish I would have realized these costs of closing and winding down the business before we had to close, but my goal was never to close - it was to save the place. Now, I have to face the reality and I need your help...
