### Help [Ray Delp] Recover from a Severe Heart Attack and Medical Complications

**My Story:**

Hello, my name is Ray Delp and I am a 40-year-old man who has recently faced a series of life-changing medical emergencies. On Thursday, July 25, I suffered a severe heart attack. I was hospitalized from July 25 to August 1, during which time I underwent multiple procedures to address the damage.

**Medical Procedures and Complications:**

- **Initial Procedures:** On Thursday 7/25/2024, one stent was placed in my heart. The following Monday, I had two more stents placed, addressing three of seven total blockages.

- **Complications:** Unfortunately, a defective medical device meant to close off an artery in my leg caused severe complications. This led to emergency surgery, leaving me with a wound VAC and JP drain, which has significantly prolonged my recovery.

**Genetic Disorder:**

During my hospital stay, I was diagnosed with familial hypercholesterolemia, a genetic disorder that has been affecting my heart health. Despite living a healthy lifestyle as a non-smoker, non-drinker, and non-drug user who stays fairly active, this condition has severely impacted me.

**Why I Need Your Help:**

The unexpected medical emergencies and the complications that followed have not only taken a toll on my health but also created a financial burden. My recovery is ongoing, and we are unsure of the out-of-pocket expenses that we will incur as a result of these unforeseen circumstances.
