Aid Shaina's Healing Journey After Heartbreaking Loss

Thursday evening my sister, her life partner, both their children and a friend were in Bristol enjoying Bartlett falls when it started to get chilly so they decided to pack up early and head home to Milton.

While traveling through St. George an extremely heavy rainfall moved in on them. They slowed down speed and were cautiously driving but unfortunately they hydroplaned on the standing water that quickly developed on the road. Shaina had just said she wanted to pull over but had not found a safe place to do so yet. When they hydroplaned their car crossed the center line and was T-boned by the oncoming car to no fault of their own.

The reality of the impact of Thursdays accident is so hard for me to put into words but with a heavy heart here I try:

Andrew Marshall, the love of my sister’s life who she had been lifelong childhood friends with, the one she lived with, raised children and animals with and built a beautiful life with unfortunately did not survive the accident. There is a gofundme for his family to help with funeral costs as well as the care of his daughter he left behind. I will share all links for support for Andrew’s parents and daughter at the bottom. While I’m so beyond thankful that Shaina, the children and their good friend made it out of this absolutely horrific accident none of them did so without serious injury.

Shaina is out of work for a while as she sustained a broken back in 2 places, her elbow required surgery because the bone pertruded the skin, broken ribs, lacerated liver etc.

If you know Shaina you know she LOVES her job and will be back the very second she’s cleared but for now she needs help making ends meet while she heals.
