Help the Benn Family after the Altadena fire

My name is Loren and I’m the eldest of my 7 siblings. My family is facing unimaginable devastation after wildfires completely destroyed our home in Altadena, CA. Overnight, my parents, my five siblings, and three babies were displaced, losing absolutely everything we’ve ever owned—including furniture, clothes, personal belongings, beds, and multiple family vehicles. The only things they have left are the few clothes they evacuated with. Everything else is gone.

To make matters worse, my grandmother, who lived just around the corner, also lost her home. Her house was a generational safe haven for many of our family members, who are now displaced as well.

We have always been a resilient family, but this devastation has left us struggling to find our footing. Right now, my family is staying in a hotel while we search for longer-term housing. The financial strain is simply is overwhelming.

I don’t often ask for help, but this situation is too great to bear alone. I’m doing everything I can to organize stability for my family, but we urgently need financial assistance to cover:

My parents, both lifelong musicians, lost all their equipment in a devastating fire, including my dad’s keyboard, sound gear, microphones, drum kits, and other instruments. This gear was their livelihood and passion.
