Aid the Geller Family in Palisades Recovery
Donation protected
Hello Friends and Friends of Friends,
As some of you may know, my brother's family lives in the Palisades (Damon passed away in 2018). We grew up in the Palisades; it is our hometown. Lili, my sister-in-law, raises their two children (now teenagers) as a single mom and is a fierce, strong, incredible woman. Her children (Delilah and Jonah) attended Marquez Elementary School and most recently Pali High. Lili is not comfortable asking for help or money (neither am I). We never wanted to do this, but help is necessary to get through this disaster.
The Palisades was then and is now a special place to our entire extended family. It is a community, a small town amidst the big city of Los Angeles. Once there, and meeting the residents and small business owners, you quickly understand and feel the care and love of the small town.
Lili is deeply connected to the community and was raising her children in a beautiful home she and Damon crafted together. Its special touches still exude Damon's energy all around, and Lili's incredible eye for design and care fill the walls with all the feelings that make a home. Delilah and Jonah are deeply connected to their home and also to the many, many homes of all their friends who also lived in the Palisades and attended Pali High. Their home is still standing, but the condition is unknown, water contaminated, infrastructure gone, and no access until further notice. There is so much shared and personal loss and sadness, so many unknowns yet to sort out.
We know there are so many families and friends who have been affected, and we thank you in advance because any bit helps.
SO much thanks!
With Gratitude,
Danielle (aka: Lili’s Sister n Law)
