Aid the Kaufman Family: Honoring Tara's Legacy

This GoFundMe is being set up on behalf of the Kaufman family. On January 2, 2025 Tara Kaufman mother to 7 and wife of 22 years to Donald Kaufman passed away after a lengthy battle to breast cancer. Tara was a life long resident of North Collins NY. She was raised here, got married here and started her family here in our small little community.

Tara and her husband Donald were married for 22 years and were blessed with 7 children, Taylor, Sierra, Kiera, Karinna, Shailyn, Dakota and Andrew. Throughout the years Tara has faced many tough times in her life, she lost her father to brain cancer as a child as well as her mother years later to breast cancer. In 2019 Tara and Donald welcomed their 7th child and first son Andrew, Tara had a difficult labor that resulted in her being sedated or "placed in a medical induced coma" following the birth of her son. Despite this setback Tara was released from the hospital with her son where she was able to go home to her 6 girls and new son where she continued to be a wife and mother. In 2021 Tara faced another major setback having a brain aneurysm while at work with for USPS, she ended up driving herself to the hospital where she had emergency brain surgery that resulted in a weeks long hospital stay with permanent damage to the nerves in her face, causing visual impairment in her right eye. Despite another serious medical setback Tara went right back to work Fulltime for the USPS delivering mail to many local households. In March of 2024 Tara was yet again facing another battle, she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age 40. She went through rigorous cancer treatments and chemo during this time. In October of 2024 she was given a diagnosis of Stage 4 Breast Cancer, she continued to fight however sadly on January 2, 2025 Tara lost her battle to breast cancer at the age of 41.

Tara's biggest and most important accomplishment in life was being a mother to her children and wife to her husband, she cherished every moment of being a mother and was proud of her children, her number one goal in life was to be the best mother she could be despite all of the trials and tribulations that she was often tested with.

We are raising money to help the family pay medical bills, funeral expenses as well as the short-term care of her children and home expenses the family will need these next few weeks. Any additional money raised will be given to the family to be used as they see fit. Tara and Donalds son Andrew was born with multiple health issues and disabilities, as a result the family has been a one income family to allow for them to provide the proper love and care to their son as well as their girls. Any money raised will go 100% to the Kaufman's to help alleviate the financial burden they are now facing. we appreciate all of the love and support from friends, family and our community and we ask that you keep this family in your thoughts.
