Aid those affected by Hurricane Helene & Milton
Donation protected
Bonnie, Carter, Ryan, Carson, and I have created this GoFund me for the families that are desperately in need due to Hurricane Helene’s devastating aftermath in western North Carolina - some of these cities are Chimney Rock, Biltmore village, Swannanoa, Asheville and SO many more. We are searching for help to donate supplies to families in need that are facing severe hardships, such as: old tarps, clothes, blankets, flashlights, ropes, tents, etc. Absolutely anything helps! Money to help us buy supplies such as: food, baby formula, pet supplies, gas cans, gas, tarps, ropes, batteries, can openers, etc.- just anything you can think of would be so appreciated! The news isn’t sharing enough for these people, houses were completely washed away, their main roads to access cities have been completely destroyed, people are stuck in the mountains just waiting for help, people can’t access gas for their generators, dams are failing, so many people are still missing and bodies are being left to rot away because the government isn’t helping. Hurricane Helene dumped nearly 30 inches of rain in some areas of North Carolina, including a record of 14 inches alone in Asheville over 3 days. This led to widespread flooding, mudslides, power outages and disruption of cell phone service. The Swannanoa River rose beyond previous record levels. Residents are still unaccounted for. These people just simply don’t have access to basic human needs and no way to get it themselves. Please do your own research to truly see the devastation innocent people are suffering through, some information can be found just by simply searching “Asheville” or “Appalachian Mountains” on TikTok. Your generous donations will be personally delivered by us as we plan to spend many weekends helping as much as we can. If enough supplies are donated, we are hoping to share the donations with Florida residents as they’re about to face another crisis, Hurricane Milton. My boyfriend, Ryan Alexander, went to North Carolina last weekend (10/5/2024) to help and it’s beyond what any of us could imagine, no words can truly express what’s going on there. Majority of the help these people are receiving are from volunteers.
Ryan Alexander, Bonnie Nummer, and I will be making a trip this coming weekend to North Carolina (weather permitting) to help as much as we can, so please if you have absolutely anything to donate please message one of us to come up with a plan to send it to Kentucky before we leave. Even if you can’t get it your donations to us by this weekends trip (10/11/24-10/13/24) we plan to make many more trips to help! On this trip, we plan to make meals for families who’ve haven’t had access to food or home-cooked meals, go door to door to hand out supplies, and the boys will be helping with clean up and whatever else we can do. Luckily we live close enough to be able to do this, which is why we are asking all our friends, family, acquaintances and strangers for help. Please do not feel obligated but your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
