Aid Tristan and Kelsey After Apartment Fire
Donation protected
Hello everyone!
My name is Tristan, and my girlfriend's name is Kelsey. We used to live in apartment 1024 at Marina Point Apartments, but on Sunday, January 5th, they had a building fire and our apartment was destroyed by smoke and water damage.
We are lucky and thankful to be here to see another day, and luckily everyone made it out safely.
Unfortunately, what we are not so lucky about is our belongings. Our possesions can always be replaced, but as of now we have lost a significant amount of money in items that can and cannot be replaced.
We are asking for support in help to raise some money in order to help aid in paying our bills for the upcoming couple of months and hopefully to replace some of our clothing, toiletries, decorations, furniture, and to replace our PCs that were ruined due to the water damage. There is a lot more that I can and can't think of, such as all my medications and first aid equipment, all of our floor rugs and "quality of life items" (such as TV's and audio equipment, floor/bath rugs and decorations, etc.), all of our food, pots and pans (some of them made it out), etc.
We are very lucky that we have all the support we have, as we already have received a bed, couch, kitchen table, lots of immediate toiletries and bathroom supplies, and our cat supplies.
As an added update to the original post, we have also received pots and pans, a microwave, some Tupperware, a coffee machine, and a crockpot for the kitchen items. We have also managed to salvage a lot of clothing items after deep cleaning, and recovered some of our storage items from the closet. Unfortunately most of the closet items do smell a little smokey, but we are hopeful we can recover a majority of the items. We did unfortunately lose a lot of art/drawings/anything that was paper or had cardboard in it due to the smoke smell.
Please do not feel obligated to donate, again, we have an amazing support system to help get us by and our necessities in order for the time being, but we will need to get back to work and on our feet in the next week and have to pay off all of our bills on top of the expenses to relocate and replace our items.
Everything pictured below besides the bedroom and a few boxes in the closet are a loss.
