update 12-31-24 Zach still has a long road ahead of him but hopefully will be going home soon. He will be following up with doctors for future surgeries and rehab. He is walking but he still cannot see because of cataracts in both eyes. He still needs all the prayers and support he can get to help navigate his new way of life moving forward
Update 12-11-24 from Zachs wife Sammi Officially settled into a room out of the ICU. I am able to stay in the room with him now so that is very very nice. His visiting hours are now open from 6am until 9pm with no time limit. Zach is doing amazing!
Update… 12-10-24 Today has been a rough day but through all the roughness is some good news. Zach finally started getting some food through his feeding tube. He seems to be tolerating it well. Everything with his digestive track in his abdomen seems to be working like it's supposed to. His arms also look AMAZING! We may have had a rough day today but I am so proud of Zach and so happy with his progress today. If anyone has any words of encouragement they want me to share please type them below and I will read them off to him tomorrow. If you could also visit him this week I think hearing some voices in person and knowing he's not alone helps too. Let's keep praying for Zach and he needs all the encouragement he can get right now!!
Update 12-7-24
Zach was reintubated yesterday morning due to aspiration into his lungs from vomiting. Now his hemoglobin has dropped indicating a possible bleed somewhere. His oxygen was increased last night. Please continue to pray for him!
Update 12:16pm 12-5-24
Praise God! Zach is awake & alert! He is talking and breathing on his own. keep the prayers coming folks!
12-5-24 update from sammi… Zach’s wife
Just got a call from Zach's nurse he is awake and not intubated anymore! I can't see him until 11:00. But he is doing very very well and resting.
12-4-24 Update from Zach wife and mom ….
Zach finished his surgery and closed up his abdomen except for 15x17 cm. What they couldn't close was closed with mesh. They plan to wake him up tonight. His arms looked great. They didn't mess with his left arm but they did clean out his right.
A mothers love ❤️
Per Zach’s wife sammi….He has many more surgeries to come. He is being very active and showing that he is fighting and not giving up… keep the prayers coming

Update per Sammi (Zach’s wife)
The accident has caused severe abdominal trauma and requiring multiple surgeries, it has left him with a barely functioning right hand and no left hand. Multiple face fractures. He was care flighted to a level 1 trauma center in Shreveport where he will remain for several weeks to come, facing multiple hurdles and many extensive surgeries. He’s fighting for his life in icu right now… please keep Zach and his family in your prayers please as we navigate thru this process.
Thank you for all of your support!
my FB friends and family. Prayers are urgently requested for my Best Friends son, Zach LaRocque. He was life flighted to Shreveport last night on Thanksgiving after a terrible accident. He underwent emergency surgery last night and is in a medical coma, and faces more in days to come and is in ICU in Shreveport . They are going to need help with traveling expenses and food and lodging and help with gas back and forth , and not to mention a sweet little boys Christmas coming up , as Zach is not able to work right now. Please pray for Zach, Samantha and Wyatt more than anything. But if you can find it in your heart to donate and help this family out it would sure be a blessing! Thank you! I will update as soon as I know more.
All donations and proceeds will go directly to the family, God Bless and have a great day!
