We would like to honor Aidan's life and commitment to education by funding the Aidan M. Inteso Memorial Scholarship. The annual Scholarship will be given to a Toms River High School graduate who is pursuing a 4 year degree at Ursinus College. The recipients will exemplify the extraordinary qualities that Aidan lived his life by. We hope you will consider giving and help fund this opportunity to give back to education and honor a young man's extraordinary life. Aidan M. Inteso was a first year student at Ursinus College in Collegeville PA, where he was the recipient of the Abele Scholars Scholarship and the Gateway Academic Scholarship. He was excited to begin his Ursinus College career and expressed an interest in working in our National Parks. Because of his passion for data science and analytics, Aidan was exploring business and environmental studies at Ursinus. Unfortunately, Aidan's life was unexpectedly extinguished, having passed away suddenly on the morning of Sunday, September 13, 2020 from complications related to undiagnosed Cardiomegaly. He was only 18 years of age.
Aidan was an amazing scholar, athlete, friend, big brother, and son. He had the kindest soul and the most love filled heart. Aidan always placed others before himself and cared immensely for seemingly everyone. Hockey played a huge part of his entire life and the memories and the friends made are timeless and forever. In direct contrast to his easy going and kind demeanor off the ice, on the ice Aidan was a tremendous force as a defenseman and teammate, yet he was always fair and clean. But Aidan always knew he would place academics before sports when it was time for college. Toms River High School East had prepared him well for the next chapter of his life and he began the walk down that path when he chose Ursinus College.
