Aiden Golden's Eagle Scout Project

Hello!

My Name is Aiden Golden. I am 15 years old and am a member of the Boy Scout Troop 182 of Holden, Massachusetts. I have been participating in Scouts since the first grade, and I currently hold the rank of Life Scout. I am working towards obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout, which is the highest rank in Boy Scouts. The final requirement to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout is to complete a service project that benefits the community.

My service project will benefit the Wachusett Greenways, which manages the Rail Trail I will be working on in Holden. I will create a planting area to help with the natural landscaping in a newly opened section of the Rail Trail. These plantings will help with soil erosion and provide shade for a bench dedicated to members of the Wachusett Greenways Association. I will also be providing a handicap-accessible picnic table in the River Street section of the Rail Trail. I am looking to raise $1,500 for this project.

I greatly appreciate your help in working towards obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout as I complete this service project. We are planning to complete the project by October 1st. We would need the funds by August 30th to obtain the materials needed.
