Aiden Lee Jensen Memorial Scholarship
Donation protected
I am Aiden’s mother, Kimberly Havens. My precious son Aiden Lee Jensen died tragically 21 months ago. He was an accomplished percussionist, loving brother and son, committed friend and exceptional scholar as evidenced by his grades and numerous awards, honors and scholarships. At the time of his death, he had plans to finish his senior year of college and to attend medical school.
In honor of his life and to perpetuate his commitment to education, my surviving children and I established this fund in conjunction with the Aiden Lee Jensen Memorial Scholarship Fund at Navy Federal Credit Union. The fund provided a $5000 academic scholarships to a Mount Saint Mary’s University senior science major (Emmitsburg, MD) this past Fall 2022 for degree completion.
Next Tuesday, we will be presenting two scholarships to Boyd J. Michael, III Technical High School PLTW BioMed senior students (Hagerstown, MD): one for $1500 and one for $500.The Tuesday after that, we will be awarding a scholarly senior musician $1500 for college at Williamsport High School (Williamsport, MD).
These schools and their staff invested in Aiden’s growth and development. The relationships cultivated there impacted his life. He influenced peers with humor, compassion and inquiry.
it is our hope that students with Aiden’s interests, passions and characteristic work ethic will benefit from the scholarships and be able to complete their educations to fulfill long lives of helping others.
Thank you for your gracious donation. If you wish to make any last-minute donations to this fund that go directly into these scholarships, there is still time. Your donations are deeply appreciated.
Thank you for honoring and remembering my son. I miss him always.
