Aiden Stuart, Survivor of Hit and Run at St Eddies

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tracey I have created this GoFundMe account to help support my beautiful little 15 year old nephew Aiden. On Friday the 28th of March 2025 Aiden and his friend were tragically struck by a stolen vehicle at very high speed in front of his School at St Edmunds college in Canberra. Aiden is EXTREMELY lucky to be alive!! He is currently in the ICU and has sustained significant injuries to his face and limbs. These injuries will unfortunately affect Aiden for the rest of his life and he has a very long road to recovery. I won't outline all of his many injuries, however most significantly Aiden has lost all feeling and function of his left arm and we just don't know if he will regain any movement at all. Aiden is a 'lefty" meaning he will need to start learning to use his right hand for everything.

Aiden was an extremely talented basketball player, he has always been a very sport orientated child playing both rugby league and rugby union for many years but his true passion was playing basketball. Loosing the use of his dominant hand along with the injuries he has sustained to his right leg will be extremely difficult for him to cope with, and it's so incredibly heartbreaking that this has been taken away from him.

Aiden has always been such a little go getter, he is such motivated little worker as a pre teen he set up the Kaleen recycle kids (Check them out on Facebook) along with his brothers and a couple of his mates and they would ride around Kaleen collecting cans and bottles for the return and earn scheme. As a young teen he helped me in my own business doing markets at both Little Burley and Haig Park until he was old enough to get a "real" job. As soon as he was old enough he applied for a job at McDonald's and has been working there for the past year saving all his pennies to buy his very first car. At the time of the accident he was counting down the days until he could get his L's...on the day of the accident he had just 10 days to go.

Aiden is a Triplet and whilst his brothers have been so very caring and supportive, despite this he will now be watching on as his brothers do all the things he looked forward to doing such as getting their Licenses and first cars as well as playing basketball and footy, riding around on their bikes and scooters. I can't even imagine how this will affect our little man emotionally, but he is the toughest kid I know and such a little fighter. Throughout this terrible ordeal he has been more concerned about how his little mate is doing than himself.

Unfortunately there isn't a great deal we as a family can do to help other than give him all the love and support we can, but being able to offer some financial assistance would mean the absolute world to both us, him and his mum and dad (who are currently unaware we are doing this) All money raised will go straight to Aiden, to help brighten his future and help pay for his rehabilitation and medical expenses both now and in the years to come.
