Support Aiden's Journey to the Rank of Eagle Scout

My name is Aiden Thurber and I am from Troop 246 of Owatonna, MN. Currently I am the rank of Life Scout and have completed many merit badges, held several positions of leadership, and been very active in the growth of my troop and other various avenues of scouting. My long journey is now at the point where I am working toward earning the highest and most honored rank in Scouting, that of Eagle Scout.

I am a Sophomore at Owatonna High School; I am in choir and I enjoy swimming, Trap Shooting, and hanging out with my friends and family. I have been in scouting since I was 6 years old as a Wolf Cub. Through scouting I have learned the importance of leadership and how much I will use leadership for this project and how much it will apply to life after scouting and school.

To earn the Eagle rank, I must plan, develop and provide leadership to others in a service project that benefits the community. My project is to build new scoring benches for the Owatonna Gun Club in Ellendale, MN. Through building the new scoring benches I am hoping to create a more pleasant working environment for the workers out at the Owatonna Gun Club. The new benches will help keep the scorers out of the sun, rain and snow.

It is a large project that will require many hours of labor and approximately $2,000 for the materials needed for this project. I am requesting monetary donations to fund purchasing the materials necessary for construction. Any monetary contributions you can offer to help me achieve my goal will be greatly appreciated. If there are any leftover funds, the money will go directly to the Owatonna Gun Club or a charity of their choosing.
