Aiden's Journey to Recovery

On Wednesday May 26, 2021, news spread about a tragic accident about a child being hit by a SUV. That child was Aiden. Aiden is a 9 year old vibrant boy!! You didn’t have to know him to know when he walked into a room! His smile and personality said it all. He would go up to anyone and everyone to make sure he said “Hello” and asked them how their day is going. He is quick-witted and a jokester but also has a sweet sensitive side to him as well, hence why this accident occurred. His friend dropped a toy by his house and as soon as he realized he grabbed the toy and wanted to return it to his buddy. Thinking only of his friend, he ran across the street and was pummeled by a SUV. Fortunately, for him there were neighbors outside who saw his lifeless body laying in the street and jumped into action! This was a horrific accident. We thank you for those who were there for him! He was rushed to one of the best trauma hospitals in the New Jersey tri state area as they began to work on him and save his life. Aiden has extensive injuries such as a broken pelvis along with a very serious brain hemorrhage. He is intubated and in a medically induced coma for the next several days to keep him calm and the brain bleeding and swelling under control. These next few days are crucial. The doctors need to make sure that he rests. Recovery time may take many months and possibly years. We don’t know the extent of the brain damage as of right now. This is why we need all the help we can get to make sure Aiden gets the best doctors, physical, occupational, and speech therapists money can buy and take some of the burden off his parents.
He is so loved by his mother Jessica, father Joe and brother Luca and of course extended family members and friends. His father Joe is an amazing chef who unfortunately lost his job during the pandemic. He knew he needed to help provide for his family and started a sauce business that took off! Some of you may know him as “The Sauce Guy”. This went widespread in the surrounding communities and was a huge success! Jessica runs the business side of it, while Joe cooks. They ran and contributed to charities for local schools to give back, gave to the food banks to help the homeless and helped the everyday working parent, all while raising their own family. It was perfect combo until now. While Jessica and Joe are at the bedside of their son, It will be hard to continue to provide for their family.
Jess and Joe provided so much good in the community, and now its time for us to take care and give back to them. There is no such thing as not enough, Every dollar will help Aiden and his family!
If you cannot donate, please pray for Aiden and then Pray some more for him! We will continue to post updates on Aiden’s prognosis and his journey to getting back to the crazy little boy we all know and love!
